Activity

I work as a lecturer of management, including Management Information Systems, communication in international business and administration and ESP (English for Special Purposes). I am also an author, co-author and translator of scientific articles in various fields, including: management, economy, information technologies, information systems, marketing, service market, cultural differences, consumer behaviour and others.

In 1999-2002, I cooperated with the European Center for Innovation Transfer (Tczew-Żarnowiec Special Economic Zone), which participated in the implementation of the European Union projects such as: FEMIRC (1997-2000) (Creation and Development of a Fellow Member to Community Innovation Relay Centers in Poland), 5th Framework Program for Research, Technological Development and Demonstration activities of the European Communities (the Fifth European Community Framework Program for Research, Technological Development and Demonstration activities), PHARE and TELENET.

In 2000-2002, I cooperated with the Arch School of Business English (currently BASE), where I worked as a teacher and translator for the Management Board of the Special Pomeranian Economic Zone (where I conducted individual training for managers), Flextronics International Poland (individual and group training for managers), Flextronics Network Services (individual and group training for managers) and Gemplus Pologne (group training – ESP training).

In 2012-2019, I conducted postgraduate studies for specialist translators and candidates for sworn translators at the Warsaw School of Applied Linguistics. I also worked as the manager of postgraduate studies and the project manager of the professional development centre for translators and teachers Lepsza Strona Wiedzy. In 2015-2016, I was the Vice-Rector for Didactics at LSW. I worked with LSW and conducted workshops for undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students in the field of business communication, specialist languages, and translation of specialised texts and documents.

I also collaborated with the publishing houses of the University of Warsaw, the Warsaw School of Economics, the University of Economics and Information Technology (currently Vistula University) and the Institute for Market, Consumption and Business Cycles Research (IBRKK) as a translator, reviewer of scientific articles and language editor of scientific journals, monographs and other publications.

In October 2015, I started cooperation with the Kozminski University in Warsaw, where I currently conduct Business English classes and prepare Polish and international undergraduate students to take English-language LCCI certified exams.

In 2016-2017, I was the head of the research project department at the Institute for Market, Consumption and Business Cycles Research (now the Polish Economic Institute). The scope of my duties included supporting scientists and researchers applying for research grants for the Institute, supervising the implementation of research projects in line with the terms and provisions of the financing agreements, financial documents and reports as well as supporting the process of the dissemination and popularization of research findings.

In addition, I was a member of a team involved in the Institute’s participation in the Horizon 2020 program. I supported the team participating in brokerage meetings and prepared materials communicating information about the research profile and competences of the Institute. In addition, I developed a conceptual design of the content of the new website of the Institute, in line with the changes taking place in terms of the Institute’s research and scientific activity. I also took part in the preparation of the English version of the report entitled “Poland: Competitiveness, Innovativeness and Exports”. The task of the preparation of the publication in Polish and in English was commissioned by the Warsaw School of Economics, Santander Universidades and BZ WBK.

Since 2007, I have also worked with the research and academic staff of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw. I am a co-author and translator of articles focusing on applying information technologies in business. Currently, I also conduct classes for Polish and international students in the field of the use of computer science in management, the use and design of Management Information System, among others as part of the Global MBA programme and International Business Program (IBP) UW.
